Animals in Cumbria
Man has introduced some of Cumbria's animals, mainly sheep, to the area. Red deer, roe deer, fox, and red squirrel can be spotted. Ravens, buzzard, and golden eagles grace the skies. Coastal birds are plentiful. Fish inhabit the lakes. Two rare species left from the ice age are found in Ullswater (schelly), Bassenthwaite and Derwent Water (vendace).
