Levers Water
1500-foot high Levers Water reservoir is hugged by the steep sided fells of Little and Great How, Raven Tor, and High Fell. Copper workings, operational from the 17th to the 20th century but now closed, were situated close to the waters. Levers Water was a sink for sulphur in the 1970's.
A climb to Levers Water begins by Coniston's Black Bull pub and heads into Coppermine Valley. After reaching the reservoir it continues to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston.
