Hutton Roof Crags Nature Reserve

(See also Hutton Roof (Kirkby Lonsdale))

Hutton Roof Crags courtesy Peter Wakely English NatureThis site of special scientific interest consists of some of Britain's best limestone pavement. Both grassland and woodland are contained in the reserve, which is home to butterflies and birds. In the reserve are plants such as dark red helleborine, Solomons seal, and a number of varieties of ferns.

There are a number of walks in the reserve, and Morecambe bay can be seen from the top.
