Linskeldfield Tarn Nature Reserve
Linskeldfield tarn nature reserve, located on farmland, is comprised of six acres of peat and wetland. It provides a home for birds, otters, frogspawn, red squirrels, and carp. Wildlife can be observed from a custom-built, twelve person birdwatching hide. Birds on view include shelducks, oyster catchers, shovelers, and pintail little grebes.

From Osprey watch centre at Dodd wood and also from Keswick and Cockermouth. Detailed instructions are on their website.
