Next Ness Nature Reserve

Path to Next Ness Nature Reserve by Susan HargreavesThis small reserve has an area of willow and alder next to the railway. It is a very wet site which encourages reed mace and marsh cinquefoil to grow.

Woodpeckers, warblers, tits, mallard, and coot use the area for breeding. Grey heron and little owl have been seen here.
