Talkin Tarn by Ann BowkerTalkin Tarn Country parks attractions consist of a 65 acre lake and 120 acres of woods. There are walks around the lakeside (1.3 miles), nature trails, and places to picnic.

Interpretive displays are provided in the boathouse, and a tea room offers food and gifts. Boats and bikes are offered for rent. Talkin Tarn path by Ann BowkerThe lake can be used for windsurfing, fishing, and sailing but not swimming. There is a local rowing club.

The lake, formed by glaciers, has spawned a legend of a buried village beneath it, supposedly destroyed by an angry god. Underground streams keep the water flowing.
