Trotters World of Animals
(See also Keswick and Bassenthwaite Lake)
Trotters World of Animals, set amidst the Lakeland fells, is home to a variety of
animals ranging from the critically endangered to traditional favourites.
Many of the animals are in spacious open enclosures, such as the cats, lemurs and
eagles. Imagine coming face to face with a snake or
rubbing shoulders with a rat. One of the daily animal encounters may be your chance to do just
that.
Flying demonstrations offer the
opportunity to experience a vulture flying overhead, watch a falcon stoop at 100mph or learn how
barn owls catch their prey.
There are play areas for children and picnic areas where you can take in the
surroundings. Atearoom serves hot meals, snacks and drinks.
