The Heaton Cooper Studio
(See also Grasmere)
The Heaton Cooper
Studio has a gallery containing paintings, prints, sculpture, and cards of the Heaton Cooper
family. The collection spans four generations of the Coopers. The first Cooper, Alfred, lived
from 1863-1929 and was known for his landscape watercolours. William Cooper, born in 1903
(died1995), also produced well-known watercolours. The two men produced hundreds of
paintings.
There is a shop on the premises that sells artists' materials. The website gives
details of each of the Cooper family's work.

Studio is located in the centre of Grasmere, opposite the village green. Open: all year, daily;
in summer 9am-6pm; in winter 9am-5pm; on Sundays from 12 noon-5pm. Closed Christmas, Boxing Day,
