Fell Foot Park and Garden
(See also Newby Bridge)
Fell Foot is an 18-acre restored
Victorian park and garden under the auspices of the National Trust. Located at the southern end
of Windermere Lake, it provides walks with views over the lake and a large grassy area for
picnics.
A home was built here in 1800 but has long since disappeared. The boathouse
(1860) still exists. In the spring daffodils and rhododendrons are on display. Oak and pine trees
enhance the property.
