Higham Hall College

Higham Hall was built c.1800 as a family home. It served as a youth hostel and a girls' school in the 20^th century before being converted to the Lake District's Residential College for Continuing Education. It is owned and run by the Cumbria County Council.

Four acres of informal Victorian gardens include a pond, a woodland walk, specimen trees, lawns, a sunken rose garden, and rhododendrons.
