Lowther Parklands

(See also Lowther and Lowther Castle)

The Lowther Parklands consists of 150 acres of ground with play activities for children. Included are rides, boating, adventure playgrounds, a miniature railway, and a putting green. There is also a deer park, peacocks, and a petting zoo.

Because it was an ancient deer park, the grounds are listed by English Heritage as Grade II Historic Parkland.

Lowther Parklands is 5 miles south of Penrith.
