Marton House Gardens
(See also Long Marton)
These privately owned gardens comprise 6½ acres in which is set an 1822 home
designed by the architect Ignatius Bonomi. Of special note are a Cedar of Lebanon and the UKs
largest weeping copper beech tree. There are views from the garden across to the Pennine mountain
range.
Marton House Gardens are at Long Marton, off the A66 north of
Appleby-in-Westmoreland.
