Go Ape High Wire Forest Adventure
The course is split into separate zones linked together by natural footpaths. Each zone begins with a climb up a rope ladder into the treetop canopy, where an assortment of spectacular rope bridges and Tarzan swings lead to a zip slide that brings you down to the forest floor. As you zip slide your way down to the ground you see a water feature over a pond on site four.

Go Ape High Wire Forest Adventure is a treetop adventure course at Whinlatter Forest Park, near Keswick. Whinlatter Forest Park is England’s only true mountain forest. Rising to 790 metres above sea level, the park offers spectacular views of the Lake District and into Scotland. Set against a stunning backdrop, this family activity provides approximately three hours of adrenalin-fuelled fun and adventure. It is based on a similar design to the twelve UK wide award-winning courses, including the course close by in Grizedale Forest. At Go Ape, visitors can climb rope ladders up into the trees and trek from tree to tree 40 feet above the forest floor.
There are restrictions for the use of Go Ape. The minimum age is 10 years, minimum height 1.4m (4ft 7in) and the maximum weight is 20.5 stone (287 pounds). Under 18 year olds must be accompanied by a participating adult. One adult can supervise either up to two children (where one or both is under 16) or up to five 16-17 year olds.
