The Lakes Glass Centre is the home of Cumbria Crystal and Heron Glass. Heron Glass manufactures studio art glass and decorative indoor lighting. Cumbria Crystal manufactures full lead English crystal.

Visitors can watch glassmakers at work at both of the companies. The factory shops sell products at discounted prices.

Another attraction at the glass centre is the Gateway to Furness exhibition. Visitors can learn about the history, industry, towns, people, and countryside of the area. A café serves snacks and meals.
