Parish Church of St Thomas a Becket by Alexander P KappKirkhouse is a hamlet in northern Cumbria. It sits in a farming area. Countryside walking is near to hand. Kirkhouse is part of the parish of Farlam, and the church is nearby.

A line of the Brampton Railway, used to transport coal, once ran from Brampton via Kirkhouse to Hallbankgate. The line later bypassed Kirkhouse.
