Brisco

Brisco road through the village courtesy Rose and Trev CloughBrisco lines itself up along the road near Carlisle. At the village is St Ninian's well, AD400. It was thought to be the site of baptisms by the saint. The village was named after a local powerful family.

In addition to surrounding farms, brickmaking is another local industry. Brisco thatched house courtesy Oliver DixonInside a local bed and breakfast, the Crossroads House, is a 100 ft deep well dating back to Roman times.
