Gilcrux
Gilcrux is a small farming village along the roadside. St Marys church sits on a mound in the village. It dates from Norman times but was rebuilt and renovated in the late 1200s. The exterior is buttressed. The small church consists of a chancel, nave, and bellcot. Inside is a glass reredos (altar screen) of the famous Leonardo painting, the Last Supper. There are two fragments of an Anglo-Danish cross.
