Newbiggin (Brampton)

Newbiggen Church Barbara Ballard Destinations-UK-IrelandNewbiggin sits close by Cross fell. Newbiggin moor is nearby. The village is home to St Edmund church, rebuilt in 1853-4 on the site of an earlier one. The walling is Norman. 14th and 15th century stained glass is in the east window. The north chapel dates from the 16th century.
