Little Meg Stone (Maughanby Circle)

Little Meg stone circle by Graeme DougalLittle Meg is a 20-foot in diameter stone circle located ½ mile from Long Meg and her Daughters. The ruined circle surrounds a prehistoric burial site. Cup and ring mark carvings, similar to those on Long Meg, were found on two of the eleven stones, the tallest of which is 3½ feet. One of the stones was removed to the Tuille House Museum in Carlisle and put on display. The Bronze Age circle sits on the edge of a field on private land.
