Holme Farm Open Farm

Farmyard courtesy Holme Open FarmHolme Farm is a traditional sheep farm and also plays host to 12 breeds of dales cattle. Goats and a number of poultry breeds complete the picture.
Children may hold and feed baby animals and watch demonstrations of farm work.

A nature trail (1¼ miles) leads through a nearby wildlife area of special interest. There are orchids, badgers, foxes, and birds (woodpeckers, oystercatchers and others).

A Roman road runs through the farmyard, and fords the River Rawthey. Close by are remains of an ancient stone age village.
