Towns and Villages of Cumbria

Road to Greendale by John Carter FlickrGreendale is a hamlet consisting of a small number of houses. It is located between Gosforth and the Wasdale Valley near the west coast of Cumbria.

It’s in a desirable walking area and accommodation is available in the hamlet and nearby. The National Trust walk can be found at things to seeGreendale signpost by Jon Farman Flickr

Nearby fells are Buckbarrow, Seatallan, and Middle Fell. Also nearby is Greendale tarn. The tarn is the source of Greendale gill which flows under the bridge in the hamlet. Wast Water is close by.
