Little Asby cottage courtesy Gillian RimingtonLittle Asbys name is thought to come from the Norse words askr (ash) and by (farm). Little Asby is a hamlet surrounded by farming country. Its existence is due to a former chapel, St Leonards. He was the patron saint of lepers.
