Seaton
Seaton is a suburb of Workington and is therefore a bedroom community. Once it served the farming and mining industries. Before that it was a market town dating from its receiving a charter in the 13th century. A three day fair was part of the privilege of holding the charter.
St Paul's church, in the village, is gothic in design and was built in 1883 of local stone. The builder was George Watson of Keswick. The village also has a Methodist Chapel. There are a couple of neighbourhood pubs and a few shops.
