Ayside row houses by Andy WallaceAyside is a small collection of stone cottages on the road two miles from Newby Bridge. Ayside Beck runs alongside. It was once stocked with fish, which provided food for the Cartmel priory monks. The villagers take pride in their homes and have won an award for prettiest small village in the Lake District.
